Calligram / Body Image

For this project I wanted to choose lyrics that would create a good message with the image that went along with it. I chose the lyrics to the song "Scars to Your Beautiful" by Alessia Kara which addresses the issue of body image among girls (surprised?) I outlined an image of an hourglass body shape from google and then wanted to try to make the lines in the background look like a heart rate to emphasize the legitimacy of the issue and how it can affect women's health. I loved the way it came out and this is definitely one of my favorite projects that I've done.
