Logo Project

In my Digital Arts for Professional Communication course we were assigned to either create our own organization and create a logo for it or pick an organization that already exists and change the current logo. The organization that I chose was The Body Positive, which is an organization aimed towards women that promotes positive body image and provides resources for those experiencing insecurities with themselves.

The original logo for the organization was very simple and pretty, although I don't believe that it represents what the organization stands for very much at all. This is the original logo:

The new logo that I created represents the organization a lot better. I decided to use the female symbol to attract the target audience of women and the bottom of the symbol perfectly outlines a positive sign as well. The curves inside the circle represent the different curves and shapes of different women and the different shades of color represent different races and ethnicities. The logo was made with illustrator.
